The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine organized a national supervision and spot check on the quality of building waterproofing materials. A total of 160 products (excluding export products) produced by 160 enterprises in 14 provinces and municipalities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, and Hubei were sampled. , including 84 elastomer modified asphalt waterproofing membranes, 2 plastomer modified asphalt waterproofing membranes, 28 composite tire waterproofing membranes, 46 polymer waterproofing membranes (sheets) products, product physical quality The sampling pass rate was 89.4%.
The spot check is based on GB18242-2000 "Elastomer Modified Bitumen Waterproof Coil", GB18243-2000 "Plastomer Modified Bitumen Waterproof Coil", JC/T690-2008 "Asphalt Composite Tread Flexible Waterproof Coil", GB18173.1 -2006 "Polymer waterproof sheet" and other standards, the physical and mechanical properties of construction waterproofing membrane products and labels and other items were tested. The main quality problems found in the spot checks:
1. When the maximum tensile strength of individual products is reached, the elongation and elongation at break are unqualified. These items are important indicators for measuring the resistance of materials to deformation. In the standard of elastomer modified asphalt waterproofing membrane, the elongation requirement of the maximum tensile force of the polyester tire type I product is â‰¥30%. The elongation and elongation at break of some products in the spot check were unqualified. During use, once the base layer is greatly deformed, the material will be torn or cracked, and leakage will occur.
2. The content of soluble substances in individual products is unqualified. The soluble content is an important indicator for characterizing the content of the main raw materials of the modified waterproofing membrane. The standard requires that the soluble content be greater than or equal to 2100 g/m 2 . In the spot check, the soluble content of individual products was 1582 g/m 2 , which was lower than the requirements of the standard. The higher the soluble content, the higher the corresponding price of the coil. Products that do not meet the requirements, the aging resistance is relatively poor, reducing the waterproof function during use.
3. Individual product tire base materials are unqualified. In the spot check, it was found that some enterprises replaced the polyester tire or the glass fiber tire with the high alkali non-woven fabric-grid composite tire, that is, the asphalt composite tire flexible waterproof membrane was used to counterfeit the SBS modified asphalt waterproof membrane, which affected the product quality. This results in reduced durability of the waterproof membrane and loss of water resistance.
In addition, Panjin Dongqing Waterproof Material Co., Ltd. refused inspection during the national supervision and spot check, and its product quality was not qualified.
In response to the main quality problems found in the spot checks, the AQSIQ has instructed the local quality and technical supervision departments to strictly follow the provisions of the relevant laws and regulations, such as the Product Quality Law, and to deal with the unqualified products in the spot checks according to law, and rectify within a time limit. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine will continue to conduct follow-up inspections on the quality of building waterproofing membrane products, and promote the overall quality level of the building waterproofing membrane industry.

Correct selection of building waterproofing membrane
The building waterproofing membrane is mainly used for building walls, roofs, tunnels, highways, landfills, etc., and can be used as a kind of flexible building materials that can resist curling and groundwater leakage. There is no leakage connection between the foundation and the building, which is the first barrier to waterproofing the entire project and plays a vital role in the whole project. The main products are asphalt waterproofing membrane and polymer waterproofing membrane.
Asphalt waterproofing membrane has elastic body (SBS) modified asphalt waterproofing membrane, plastomer (APP) modified asphalt waterproofing membrane, asphalt composite tire flexible waterproofing membrane.
Elastomer (SBS) modified bitumen waterproofing membrane, plastomer (APP) modified bitumen waterproofing membrane is based on polyester tire or glass fiber tire, and asphalt composite tire flexible waterproofing membrane is based on asphalt. The composite material of the two materials is used as the carcass. Most of the composite tires are made of chemical fiber rags and high-alkali glass fiber mesh cloth. They are not easy to dip, mold, water resistance and durability, so the service life is short. It is used in some temporary buildings or where the level of fortification is not high. The standard clearly stipulates that except for SBS coils, any other bitumen waterproofing membrane made of modified asphalt, tire base and upper surface materials shall not be labeled as â€œSBSâ€ coil.
First, the packaging logo. The above three materials are not much different from the appearance, so the first thing to look at is whether the packaging and labeling are standardized. The mark must indicate: the manufacturer's name, trademark, product mark, date of manufacture or batch number, production license number, storage and transportation precautions are indispensable. Each coil should be marked and marked in strict accordance with the order specified by national standards. At the same time, it should be noted that the storage period of the coil is generally not more than one year.
Second, look at the tire base. The method of tearing the edge of the web by hand can be used to determine whether the base is consistent with the mark, whether it is completely saturated, and meets the requirements of the standard. The base should not have unperceive white marks or light spots. The polyester tire is extremely difficult to tear and break by hand, and the affinity between the asphalt and the tire base is good, and the asphalt composite tire coil is often easily torn, and the base of the tire can be observed by tearing.
Third, through the physical performance test and judgment. The 0.8m coil is cut to test the physical and mechanical properties according to the standard, and the qualified product is qualified.
Polymer waterproofing membranes are usually divided into:
JL1 type: EPDM waterproof sheet is a uniform waterproof sheet made of EPDM rubber. It is an internationally recognized high-grade waterproof material. It is characterized by high elasticity and extensibility. Good and weather-resistant performance is the material of choice for key projects.
JL2 type: rubber (rubber-plastic) blended waterproof sheet, which is a waterproof sheet made of rubber and plastic or rubber and rubber. It is characterized by good flexibility and excellent adhesion.
JS2 type: The main material of the homogeneous resin waterproof sheet is EVA, which is characterized by high strength, good ozone resistance, and its hot-melt welding performance is the preferred material in underground projects such as subway. JF2 type: non-vulcanized rubber-plastic blended waterproof sheet. The main material is made of rubber and plastic, rubber and rubber. After rolling, it only needs to be parked at room temperature, and the production efficiency is high.
FS2 type: Polyethylene polypropylene coil has easy adhesion, large friction coefficient and wide temperature range. When choosing to purchase, you must also pay attention to whether the product mark content meets the standard requirements. When signing the contract, you must indicate the execution standard, classification, size and so on.
