One factor driving the development of e-commerce is the rapid growth in the use of mobile phones. Among the 30 industrialized countries surveyed by the OECD, from 1993 to 2007, the average annual growth rate of mobile users was 30%.
But the OECD warns netizens that future e-commerce is not completely secure.
It pointed out that half of the cross-border complaints submitted to the European Consumer Center Network came from online shopping disputes.
“Delivery issues and dissatisfaction with the products purchased are the main reason for complaints, accounting for 75% of all complaints,” the OECD said.
